The patient is the center of everything we do in healthcare. We need to understand the experiences they go through in order to properly influence all of our decisions as future healthcare leaders.
Today on Whatever Wednesday, I bring on my good friend Josh Vankooten. He is the host of Entitled to My Friends’s Opinion and also a former and current patient. Josh shares with us about how almost three years ago he was diagnosed with neuromyelitis optica. His illness put him in the hospital for days without answers, but today is healthier than ever.
He is thankful for many of the amazing providers he interacted with and who continue to help him overcome all the obstacles associated with his diagnosis. Learn more about Josh and his podcast at their website or connect with him on Instagram or LinkedIn.
